SCADA system development means building the "top level" of automation, where the operator sees the entire site as a whole: equipment status, parameters, alarms and history. SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) collects data from controllers and instruments, visualizes it and lets you control processes in real time. Atlas Scada designs and deploys such systems for industrial and engineering facilities across Kazakhstan.

How supervisory control differs from automation: automation is local control of equipment by a controller, while supervisory control is a single system for monitoring and controlling all sites at once, including remotely.

Levels of an automation system

  • Field level — sensors and actuators (instrumentation & control, I&C).
  • Control level — programmable logic controllers (PLCs) with local logic and protections.
  • Supervisory level — SCADA: data acquisition, visualization, historian, alarms and control.

What SCADA development includes

We build alarming to the ISA-18.2 standard: with priorities, acknowledgement and a log, so the operator sees the events that truly matter. This reduces incidents and human error.
