Astana Arena — Fire Suppression System
Restoration with replacement of outdated automation: new control cabinets, controllers, protection algorithms, and integration with the fire alarm system.
For the Astana Arena sports complex, Atlas Scada carried out the restoration of the fire suppression system with a full replacement of the outdated control automation. The objective was to bring the system back to working order, increase the reliability of automatic control, and ensure correct interaction between all fire suppression components.
What the survey revealed
- Faulty operation of the fire suppression control cabinets.

What was done
- Faulty and obsolete control components were dismantled.
- New automation cabinets were installed: fire suppression control controllers, I/O modules, motor-starting and protection gear for the pump units, and actuator monitoring devices.
- Installation was performed in stages, without disrupting the facility's operation and in line with fire safety requirements.
- Controllers were programmed and commissioning was carried out, verifying automatic start-up, manual modes, interaction with the fire alarm system, and the operation of protections and interlocks.
Result
- Full operability of the fire suppression system was restored.
- Reliable automatic control of the pump group was ensured.
- Correct interaction with the fire alarm system was established.
- The facility's level of fire safety was raised.
